The story

Blue Drift

The blue fragrance is a genre, and most of them stop at fresh. Explorer Ultra Blue was Montblanc's answer to that: keep the salt-and-citrus opening, then put something with weight underneath it.

Blue Drift keeps both halves. Sicilian bergamot and pink pepper sparkle through the first half hour; sea water and ambergris carry the middle; woods, Indonesian patchouli and a thread of leather hold the base.

This is the bottle you keep by the door. Clean enough that nobody in a meeting can object, deep enough that dinner afterwards doesn't need a second scent.
